Jennifer Kuhn
Staff: Excutive Director

 Jennifer comes to us with years of experience as a strategic advisor specializing in helping leaders and organizations navigate deliverables such as nonprofit fundraising, strategic planning, community engagement, program development and communications. She has always been community service minded and is a life-long advocate for victims of crime. She graduated from Indiana University with a B.A. in telecommunications and Chicago-Kent College of Law with a law degree. Jennifer started her career as an Assistant Cook County State's Attorney specializing in domestic violence prosecutions. She’s held leadership roles in state government, nonprofits and corporate America - always finding opportunities to empower people impacted by violent crime. She has recently started her own consulting business and is currently serving as a Wauconda Village Board Trustee. Jennifer lives in Wauconda with her son, Conner and dog, Mack.


Ashley Burk

Staff: Building and Membership Engagement Manager

Ashley is part of the first generation group who started the Break with Brenda. She is now in her twenties, and a graduate of Crystal Lake South high school. She started a fine arts degree at McHenry County College and is hoping to finish up her last semester shortly. She often writes, longboards, hikes, and travels. She is excited to help the generations excel in the lives they aspire to attain.

Taylor Keller

Staff: Building Leader

Taylor is a senior studying special education at Illinois State University. She grew up in Algonquin and completed an internship with the Break over the summer for her minor in civic engagement and responsibility. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets as well as watching sports!

Jackie Wittig

Staff: Building Manager

Jackie moved to Crystal Lake in 2005 and is the mother of three. She obtained a degree years ago in Early Childhood Education but has plenty of experience with teens being that hers are 17, 20 and 28. She enjoys spending time with her granddaughter Evelynn (who always keeps her on her toes) and going to the Badgers football games in Madison Wisconsin to watch her son who's in the marching band.

Noelle Dodge

Staff: Prevention & Wellness Director

Noelle comes to The Break with 10 yrs experience in both substance abuse and mental health counseling leveraging cognitive behavioral therapy within activities to promote prevention and wellness in everyday living. Noelle graduated from Judson University with a bachelor degree in counseling and a master degree in human services administration. “Working with middle school, high school and young adults is a great opportunity to impact the community with next generation. The Break is a safe place for them to discover who they are and who they want to become."
