The 988 Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals in the United States.

Our goal is to provide leadership to ensure the prevention and treatment of mental illness, developmental disabilities and substance abuse by identifying, planning, coordinating, fostering development, and contracting for quality services for all citizens of McHenry County, Illinois.

A WAY OUT

A Way Out - McHenry County offers substance abuse assessment 24/7 to anyone in McHenry County that wishes to seek recovery. Appropriate inpatient or outpatient referral and placement are determined by assessment and based on availability. Phone #'s --->

THE OTHER SIDE

The Other Side is all about creating a fun and safe environment for supporting recovery from addiction. Our location in Downtown Crystal Lake, Illinois provides meeting space for 12-step meetings and support groups. The Other Side is a service provided by New Directions Addiction Recovery Services.

Meeting people’s most basic needs of food, shelter and support through programs designed for youth, families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Our services include McHenry County PADS, Runaway and Homeless Youth Program, and Homeless Youth 18-23 Program.

The Youth and Family Center of McHenry County exists to ensure empowerment and growth for youth and families by partnering with our community to provide direct services and linkage to individuals in McHenry County.

4-C

4-C is a private not-for-profit social service agency that for more than 45 years has helped families and child care providers by offering services and resources that include Child Care Financial Assistance, Resource and Referral for Child Care, Parent and Provider Professional Development, the Child Care Food Program, Family Support as well as nursing, social work, mental health, Quality and Infant Toddler Specialists.

OPTIONS AND ADVOCACY

We have provided thousands of infants, children, adults, and families a wide range of services and supports. We offer Early Intervention service coordination through the Child & Family Connection program. The Helping Us Grow program provides in-home support to pregnant women and young children. The Autism Resource Center (ARC) supports people on the autism spectrum and their families through family education, educational advocacy, and a variety of group opportunities.
