Originally launched as “Text A Tip,” the MCHELP free mobile app is an anonymous texting service that provides McHenry County youth and adults the ability to confidentially text concerns related to stress, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, etc. -- 24 hours a day, seven days a week -- to trained, licensed mental health counselors. MCHELP routes texts through a cloaking server so texters are completely anonymous, allowing individuals with concerns (for themselves or others) the freedom to reach out for help while remaining anonymous."
